    Just cleaned up the front hubs and changed and greased the wheel bearings, also changed the races. Should there be any slop between the rear bearing and the rear seal,or should it be a tight fit?? The rear seal was installed with the metal towards the bearing and the rubber towards the spindel...

    The drain plug on my Marvel/Schebler Carb has the head all stripped off. Could yall help me out and advise if a replacement is available or if it's a standard thread where I could purchase something locally. Want to find out before I take it out. It's on a 49 8n front dist. THANKS BP

    Hey, I recently bought a 1949 Ford 8n front mount distributor. Can anyone tell me what the oil pressure is supposed to be?? I was reading 30 to 40 lbs before I changed the oil, now it reads around 50lbs when first started up and goes down to 4o lbs at 1/2, 3/4 throttle. Useing shell 15w40 oil...
