    enough tractor?

    I am using an Allis D14 on a 6' rotary mower in heavy (2' tall) grass/weeds and the thing has a hard time mowing it. Is there something wrong with my D14 or is it just not enough tractor for this? What do you all think? Thanks.

    splitting stands for 4010

    I bolt on 2x4s about the right length, then use floor jacks to support and roll apart the halfs, then lower onto 2x4s. 2 per half will hold it.

    FYI starter info

    Tried to start my D-14 a while ago - click. Tried again - click. Sounded like a low battery just making the solenoid click. But the solenoid was getting HOT. So I checked for voltage when it clicked (closed the starter current path)and the meter would jump to 11 odd volts. So, I had 11 volts...

    Hey man, I take my dog out for a walk and he still poops on the floor when I return. Just because you charge that thing don't mean its workin good. Did it spin the engine over good again after it quit? If so, then it IS OK and you can ignore my dumb analogy above :)

    Ranch King throwing belt

    Hi all, Have an older Ranch King from TSC. It mows for a while but then starts throwing the belt off periodically. I can find no adjustment for belt tension on it. It appears to be tight enough anyway. All parts are there and in place. Any thoughts????

    Its that black illinois dirt! I grew up in Ogle county 100 miles west of Chicago and now live in north central Ohio. What a transformation I see as I drive between the 2 places. Ohio has brown clay and it gradually gets better and blacker as I head west toward the Mississippi.

    FYI: Have a JD3020. Got it used. Started but would always run on 3 for a half minute. Put that Lead Supreme (now Octane Supreme) 130 in my gas since I had it. After a couple tanks through it now, no more starting on 3. Starts on all 4 now. Lead lubricating old valves & making them work...

    LT 133

    All LT133s had sealed rear ends with grease in them. There is also a filter in there but you have to take the case apart to get to it.
