    So serial # 17000Y would be a1965 model with 12gpm hydraulic pump correct ? Would this one come without a T/A? Found someone willing to fix 3 point lift and he says parts should not be a problem.     450 diesel good or bad?

    Yep my 560 Diesel will out pull my 450 gas at the tractor pulls and will out pull most JD tractors in the 8100# and 8600# class and it is stock and only smokes a little.

    I have a 560 diesel and when I first got it she was a hard starter. I checked all glow plugs and thought they were good. An old IH mechanic said to disconnect all wires and connect one glow plug up and ground it then push bottom for 30 seconds and it should glow red. Mine got hot but did not...

    I replaced the injector pump and injectors with ones from a friend. He gave them to me since his dad has passed and has no tractors it will fit on and he found them in his shop. It runs like a scalded cat. Will turn 2800 rpm's and very peppy. He said his dad had then always turn the pump up 10%...

    I want to know where have yall purchased the best quality (for the price) seats for you tractors from. I want to put original complete seat ( with suspension) on my tractor. I replaced fuel pump and injectors, fixed tach, fuel gauge and 3 point lift and it starts and runs good and everything...

    4600 diesel

    I noticed when I turned my key on that It had lost power to my instrument panel and alternator is not charging. I was able to start and shred yesterday. Did a quick check and did not see anything obvious. I thought if maybe some one has experienced this it could save me some time on repair...

    Thanks for all your suggestions. The water pump does have a lot of movement to it (when shaking fan) I suspect thermostat is stuck partially open (it takes along time to warm up).The oil pressure has me worried . One older mechanic says 20 psi should still be enough. I am just getting yalls...

    I pulled my hay king renovator for the first time with my 806. It starting getting about 3/4 on temperature gauge. Oil pressure when hot runs about 20 psi at wide open and about 5 psi at idle when hot. Tractor has a flutter to it ( I think fuel pump). I am going to replace worn water pump and...

    new water jacket gasket leaking

    I had the same thing happen on my 450. I threw gasket away and used permatex ultra grey and no leaks for 5 years now.

    M-TA vs. Oliver 88...shocked...

    Did the SMTA power out ? . I pull a stock SM in 5600#, 6100# and sometimes 6600# classes and have never powered out. I don't always win but I will finish towards the top of the list. My 450 and 560 are also awesome contenders.
