    Oil selection

    So I was given some brand new 10w30… only problem is it’s diesel 1030 and not your regular 1030. Anyone see any issue in using it in my 8N? I’ll never use it on any diesel engine so I figure might as well throw it in the ferd. Google doesn’t recommend but really in looking at comparison it...

    You were exactly right, dropped the pump, watched Rachel gingelles video on disassembling the pump and sure enough both of my valves were very sticky and one was even on the verge of being stuck. I just finished filling it with oil after pulling my hair out for 24 hours waiting for RTV to cure...

    Inspection cover bolt pattern

    Is anyone able to tell me which bolts go where for the hydraulic inspection cover on the side of tranny? I’ve had mine apart for too long and don’t know where they go now lol. I know some are longer then others so they don’t hit the pump on the inside

    So I need the gasket behind the cover, which I’m assuming is the oil pump on my 48 8N. But didnt know for sure so figured I’d bring it to the experts lol. If anyone could confirm or correct me in saying that’s the oil pump that would be great. Also P/N’a are greatly appreciated! Thanks

    You were 100% right. Ended up taking it to the construction company I work for’s shop and using the big set of oxy/acetelyne torches there. After 5 mins of heating it fell right on. Tractors back in 1 piece and hoping to try starting it later today or tomorrow

    You know what, I had to Google map gas and that’s when I realized thas what I’m using not propane lol. I thought the yellow bottles were still propane just a different mixture, guess I just learned something new lol.

    So I have my 8N split to change the flywheel ring gear, i removed the clutch and flywheel and started beating on the ring gear, haven’t really got it to move yet, I don’t have a big set of torches just a portable mini propane torch. Anyone got any tips to remove and re install new ring gear...
