    Oil pump - no pressure

    I chased mine for a while then found the pump gear split in two. Couldnt tell till I took it out, just enough to keep it from turning. Id drop the pan and take a look, its not that bad of a job, took me about 2 hours to do the whole deal.

    Sounds like the shifter for a Sherman transmision, basicly a high, low shifter.

    Thanks, Its not the safetl switch , I bypassed that by putting juice to the starter direct. Do you remember how the starter came off?? was it the three bolts on the plate behind it, or the two bolts from the back going all the way through?? I ran out of daylight today to take a close look...

    2N Points?

    You might not be doing anything wrong. I have had several sets of new points that wont fit and adjust rght out of the box lately. I had to enlarge the holes in the points to get them to adjust.
