    So I was dropping off a riding mower at a consignment auction tonight and there were a bunch of haybines... What is everyone's opinion on the Ford 535 mower/conditioner? How is parts availability..I've read they are the same as a NI and MF model as well. Any ideas? Chris

    I have some experience here!     Thats definitely better than a "decorator." That said I think 100 -300 is a fair price. The auctions around here (northern VA), manure spreaders of that vintage can go for 10 dollars...if no one's there to buy one, or 600, as they did this past weekend, when there were a lot of people there...

    working on IH 46 square baler

    I've got a IH 46 that I started using the end of last year, and it works very nicely. As far as getting the twine in...same as any other baler, just thread the twine through the needles, and then tie it off to something under the baler. Then, trip the tying mechanism while the PTO is running...

    I know the farm I used to work at bought a little hand powered machine. You had to tie the bales by hand, but it packed them using a big lever. I'm not sure where they got them from...but it was definitely a hand powered machine.
