    no spark

Got a 42-9n 12v Neg ground, 6v coil - ran great over the winter to plow, but can't seem to get it started, not getting spark on the spark gap check. Verified the coil is good. Curious if the issue is with the ignition switch, do I need the connections all off to check the validity of it...

    Is my block cracked

Have a 42 9N 12V, Added a thermostat in the summer when I replaced the manifold and one of the studs. I'm in Mid Michigan, plowed slow with last weeks snow, and seen some snow melted neae the garage door (unattached no heat, my fault drivers sit outside). Went in to discover a little bit of...

Looking for a front snow blade for my 52

Dearborn was the manufacturere, got a manual from E-bay (reprint) it notes 'Dearborn Blade Snow Plow', a models is not noted within the book. I have the Dozer version (no springs for the blade to go forward, looking online it notes clearance not as much as the snow plow), a thrid version is...

    9N Exhaust Stud

Found the N manifold stud on Amazon, they shipped it I got it the next day. Assembled it back together, reused the manifold, however there was some pitting near the #4 cylinder I overlooked, removed the manifold it wrecked the newer gasket as it was still warm. Got a new manifold gasket from...

    Starter safety

I have a similar issue with my 2N. Went to start it on the trailer and didn't verify fully it was in neutral, to have it roll backwards. Thankfully I was not harmed, and then it was fun getting the wheels back on the trailer, they were both free spinning. Testing the safety I found out it is...

    9N Exhaust Stud

Working on my 42 9N, 12V - and thought I had a rusted manifold, but removing the three nuts + 1 bolt I found out it was just a gasket issue. Guess since my dad did the rebuild I wasn't anticipating antifreeze to come out (of course what else would come out, laughs), so guess it will be time to...

Ford 8N Front Of Brush Hog Digging In. Can't Adjust

Could add bigger skid plates on the brush hog, that are like 4 to 6 inches wide, but would need it to be curved upward in the front/lead.

    Woods Finish PTO shaft

Running the 9N with a Woods rear finish mower, guess I should have adjusted my upper bar to be shorter so it wore and broke, now I have to replace it. What length PTO shaft should I get for this, figured I'd just get a new shaft. I'm running the ORC as I should be.

Ford Dozer blade need axle bracket

I've got the Ford front blade, Dozer style (Dad got in the 80's with the tractor, the blade was never installed on the tractor in his time, and had since passed). I happened to watch a video of this type install, and now realize I'm missing both brackets that are mounted under the...

    debateing PTO Conversion

Well debating if I should upgrade the PTO shaft to the larger size on my 45 2N. Trans/Hydraulic Oil is out, so was wondering of the plusses/minuses to convert it. I am not aware of a leak on the bearing seal.

This thing is amazing at plowing snow!!

Nice Plow/ Tractor. I'm also in MI :-) My Dad got a front blade, Dearborn Dozer style (no spring) when he bought his in the mid 80's, he never used it. I've got some updates though to get it operating: cable replacement, brace & mount straightening and weld fabricating for those broken...
