    Markings on flywheel

    I have a Ford 2000 diesel. I was checking the flywheel through the inspection port, and notice numbers: 30, 20, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 0. Could someone tell me what these number mean? I have searched the I&T manual but could find nothing. They are visible when number 1 piston is at or on TDC.

    Can anyone help me determine the cubic inch of the above mentioned tractor. The dealership is not able to help me through the engine serial number, and there are no tags on the valve cover giving information. I do not know if the engine is 135 ci, or 145 cu in. I am trying to order parts.

    I have a B F Avery, model R, that I changed from 6 volts to 12 volts. At present, I have 14.4 volts going to the switch . I put a 12 volt resister between the battery and the switch to reduce voltage, but the tractor will not turn over. The voltage is reduced too much. Any suggestions on what to do?

    Allis will not start

    This is a follow-up to the above issues with the magneto. The mag is a FM-J4B, I am getting fire out of holes 2 and 3 of the distributor cap but nothing out of holes 1 and 4, I can not see a crack in the cap anywhere. I have cleaned the holes and the pins are good. Any more ideas?

    The only item hooked up on the tractor is the magneto. At present, there are no other electrical items on the tractor including an on/off switch. I am presently redoing the tractor. I just wanted to make sure it will run before going further. Thank you for your help.
