    Ford tractor

I have a new to me Ford tractor. I think the serial number is 9N5644. That would make it a 39 9N. Do the pictures below look like a 39 9N? The pto leaks so I ordered an oil seal. Will be the double lipped seal and the regular one work. Does the oil seal have to be pressed in and out of...

    Oliver 770 pto

Pto on the oliver 770 wouldn't shut off. Ran it that way too long and the discs came apart. I put new discs in and I can't seem to get it so it snaps on properly. Roughly how many shims should be in each pack to make this work right with new discs?

    Oliver 770 carb

I have an Oliver 770. When you turn on the gas at the sediment bowl, the carb fills up with gas and gas starts pouring out of the carb. It runs quite rough. Adjusting the screws doesn't make any difference. I bought a basic carb kit and cleaned it out and adjusted the float but no difference...

    MH 333 again

I have a test light-- alligator clip and a probe. I'm touching the inner parts of the distributor with a screwdriver. Is it normal to get sparkes off of the shaft and various places but nothing at the points when cranked. Distrib seems tight-- I'll check ground.

    MH 333 again

I'm working on my MH 333 again. Broke the throttle shaft during the winter-- replaced it but now won't start. I have electricity to the coil. If you touch various parts of the distributor with the ignition on, there is spark but no spark at the points when cranking. No spark at the plugs...

Thanks-- That was very helpful. The Case dealer is going to get me one. I'll make a spare too...

    C28

I got my IH C28 sickle bar mower working-- mows pretty well but unfortunately I broke the pitman arm that I had put on it. I could make one but I would sort of prefer to get a new one from Case IH-- they can't find that model in their book. They can find a C22. Is that pitman arm the same or...

    IH c28

Actually the nut is just reverse threaded. I've got it mostly apart-- actually looks like the bearings are fine but the threaded shaft-- where the large nut goes-- that fits over the shaft that goes through the housing-- is very wobbly. There is a shear bolt or pin that holds it on. Someone...

    IH c28

Thank you for taking the time to spell it out. Looks like the large nut is stripped but I'll get it off and go from there...

    IH c28

It looks like the bearing on my IH c28 sickle bar mower-- the bearing on the largish flywheel/pulley that drives the belt-- behind the pto shaft-- is shot. It doesn't look particularly easy to get off. Can anyone explain how it is done?

    IH 27 v 3 pt hitch

Thank you to everyone has helped me on this. I really appreciate the help. A thousand thanks. I tried it out today. I chained up that lead item with the chain and clevis that was there-- no more digging in. The height seems appropriate and it cut well in some hard to cut grass-- for a bit--...

    IH 27 v 3 pt hitch

Thanks. It's nice to learn something. That's a picture from when I first started working on it. I had some international pitmans kicking around (maybe from combines-- got them at an auction-- goes on something newer I think) so got one of those on there-- I don't think the hardware is...

    IH 27 v 3 pt hitch

Thanks-- that's quite helpful. I've made a lot of hay with a jd #5 but this is a little different. I'll attach a couple pictures. Someone told me it was a 27 v. It has no wheel. I have no idea. Someone gave this to me so I figured I would see if I could make some hay with it.

    IH 27 v 3 pt hitch

Today I'm working on an IH 27 v sickle bar mower. It's 3 pt hitch-- I'm not sure if the 3 pt hitch is factory or someone possibly retrofitted it at some time. I've only ever run sickle bar mowers that mounted on the drawbar. Currently, when put completely on the ground, the front-most part...
