John Deere 630 3 point quit working

I recently restored a 630 going completely through everything including the hydraulics. The three point hitch was working fine with no issues until I decided to use the remote outlets to try out an original cylinder I restored to go with the tractor. I was working the cylinder back and...

    2 Part Epoxy Primer

I"m slowly restoring a 44 John deere B. I plastic filled, epoxy primed(Omni), high build primed small tin pieces like the gear cover on the side and the valve cover in the recoat window and put on the shelf for a couple months. I now started sanding the high build with 400 grit and got a nice...

    DLTX-34 and 67 differences

I acquired a work in progress 44 b. It was bored out to the late b bore and a set of m&w style pistons came with it. I'm close to getting it running, will it run ok with the DLTX-34 carb?

    620 broken exhaust mount

Those tops are pretty pricey. They can be welded on back on, I welded one on a 630. JD's cast seems to weld good. There were also repair kits advertised with a bracket that bolts it together.

    620 gear oil leak

From what you are describing it sounds like it might be be the pressed in plug that plugs the pto gear shifter rod bore. If so, you won"t have to split anyting just drain the oil out and replace it.

    60 carb on a 630

I just found out my 630 has a DLTX 81 carb on it which would make it for a 60. It runs fine and has since i've owned it. Whats the difference between a carb for a 60 gas and a 630 gas?

Does anyone other than John Deere sell a speed change spring for a 630?

    620 Clutch Driver

If the clutch driver and crank are in good shape the driver should tighten up before its flush with the crank. I've heard the driver should stick out past the crank about the thickness of a quarter as a good rule of thumb to go by.

    630 clutch pulley

Are they in good shape and how much are you asking for one? Do you have a number I can give you a call?

    630 clutch pulley

I just had the dog ear break off inside the pulley. I know pulleys are hard to find and very expensive if you do find them. I was wondering if they can be welded and if so how well do they hold up?

    MF 50 transmission roar

I had a roar or rumble in a ferguson 40 that would radiate up through the fenders and could feel vibration in the tractor. The noise would vary depending on the gear it was in. When I tore it down I found the pinion bearing race was totally shot. So I would assume you have a bad bearing...

John Deere 60,620,630 Muffler Mount Repair

Looks like a nice solution for a broken muffler support. Having been down that road it sure beats replacing the radiator top or trying to have it welded. Nice to see solutions to keep these tractors going.

    F40 pics

George, yes those are rear wheel weights. They were on the tractor when it was bought new. I have asked around many times about them, if they were ferguson weights or an aftermarket weight of that time but no one seems to know. However they are cast to fit exactly over the ferguson wheel.
