    My 48 cub was running noot much power but it suddenly stop and I can get to start The governor was replaced The magnito was timed to the engine.It did not have enough power to plow but it started right up but now it does not start Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Do you mean the adjustment at the connections of the rod from the carb to the rod that goes to the governor? On the left side?

    I always had enough power to pull my 12" plow until my governor broke.I just seen vedio on YouTube where the person said he would time the magneto for road driving advance timming and retard the timming for the tractor to work in the field.Is that correct?

    I removed the governor housing and when you push the throw out bearing only one side opens and fingers that push on the bearing one is broken.It looks like I need another governor. I know trying to time the governor with the magneto would be next to impossible for me with matching the timing marks

    Some on YouTube says the timing marks on the fly wheel are on the side of the gear facing the magnito to time the governor. Why are the governor timming marks not visible when the governor is remove Please let me know.Thanks for your help

    If I take the front governor cover off will I be able to see a broken spring or will I need to go further.

    The speed does go up but not enough to plow.If the engine goes up some does that mean the governor may be ok?or could there still be a problem with the governor.

    My 1948 Farmall cub will not gain speed when I push the lever all the way past notches.When I start to plow it has no power to keep plowing .What would be the problem? Could it be the governor and if it is how would I fix it?

    Thanks, guys, I got the job done with a bracket from Vintage parts and your help with the mounting location. The exact mounting area is close, but the bracket is different, than Big 86's, early serial number vs. late, I believe.
