    Crankcase Oil Capacty of 1939 B

    How many quarts of oil(crankcase) are specified for a 1939 B serial no. 75600? Almost a year ago, I completed the restoration of a "39 B and neglected to record the oil capacity. Serial No. 96000 to 201000 calls for 7 1/2 quarts. The manual does not specify the amount for 60000 to 96000.

    GT235 Garden Tractor - completely dead

    Found the problem - The wire from the starter to the ignition switch was broken. It was located in the buntle which lies under or nearly under the battery on the left side of the tractor. Apparently the residue from the battery and the fact that the edge of the battery was laying on the bundle...

    I am seeking ideas for a muffler cover for my 1939 "B" to be used when transporting the tractor on a trailer. There are many options when the tractor is stationary and parked outside, but I need something to cover the muffler when transporting tractor.

    What is oil capacity for early 1939 B - serial no. 75600? MANUAL calls for 7 quarts but I recall reading somewhere that very early styled B tractors take less. What is capacity if oil filter is not removed/changed?
