JD 2440 stuck in low range
Can't move range selection to neutral, high or park. The gear shift will move ok and goes into five but can't get range shifter into park. The tractor will move in low range. Of course, not being in park the engine won't start now either. Any ideas? Thanks, Lee- LeeT

Case 970 power shift
I'm thinking of looking at a 970 for sale a couple hours drive from me. The owner says it has a power shift transmission. Is there any way I can "sense, feel or tell" that the power shift is working properly when I test drive the tractor? I have an IH 966 and that TA gives a definite surge to...- LeeT

Ford 5000 - two questions
Thanks sotxbill See my response above regarding the fuel guage. Looks like I better wait until after this crop season to tear into the power steering. It is the older model found under the radiator. Lee -

Thanks for the reply RickB. After digging more dirt off the top of the tank I found the sender. Next dilemma - there is only one spade plug that connected to the guage doesn't do anything. There appears to be a second terminal on the sender that has the spade connector missing. The wiring... -

Case 401 super Diesel
401 diesel runs until it warms up and then water gushes out the over flow pipe. This can be repeated several times. The thermostat is new. The water pump was replaced 20 years ago. The temperature guage doesn't work and I've yet to find a replacement with a sensor cable long enough to reach. My...- LeeT
