    magneto drive nut question

    Had the magneto off of my L lately, this is a base mount magneto. How do you tighten the nut? No wrench I have is thin enough to get on the nut. I`m not even sure what size the nut is, possibly 1 1/4 inch or a bit larger. Did/does someone make a special wrench for this?

    Wouldn`t make any difference what block you have, you need to match the gasket to the particular head you have. This would be done with the part number on the head and a good parts person

    Modern grease seal for front spoke wheels??

    I`m wondering if there is a modern grease seal that fits the old front steel wheels on L & C Cases.

    CC steering stop

    I`m fairly sure they just do this. I have a CC and it`ll turn all the way around. I`m thinking they do this to use the same gearing on a C and a CC. the pitman arm on the gearbox is used in the 'up' position on narrow fronts and in the 'down' position on wide fronts.

    Mounted a couple old 16.9x34 Firestones tubeless yesterday. Looked at them and cleaned insides real good. After mounting, one has 4-5 holes leaking. Old thorn holes or whatever. Trying to decide what to do. As these are flat base rims they are very hard to get the tires off-on. Trying to decide...

    Case L magneto question

    Apparently somethings wrong with it, I`ve tried to run it every way and it don`t ground. Doesn`t really matter to me right now, was just curious. Thanks for the replies!

    Case L magneto question

    Is the screw I`m pointing to supposed to ground out the magneto to kill the tractor? I`ve tried shorting it out but it don`t kill the tractor.

    Thanks for the reply. I have a nice set of Firestone F&R`s to go on, I think they`ll be ok.

    Tires on L Case

    I also should have mentioned the wheels are cut-offs. They have 38 inch rims on them and whoever built them whenever done a real hack job, they are ROUGH. I`m going to pull this tractor so high angle in the rear is an advantage. Not building a big hot rod, just a good running stock tractor.

    I`m wanting to put some 16.9x34 tires on the back of my L Case to pull Div2 and wondering if anyone has done it. Best I can tell measuring they will fit under the fenders, just trying to make sure before I start cutting down spokes.

    I`m wondering if anyone knows if 16.9x34 tires will fit under a Model L fender. I`ve got some tires not on rims that I`ve measured the best I can and it looks like they`ll fit, just wondering if anyone else has done this before I start cutting spokes.
