    Thanks for the reply. It’s running fine except it wants to run on when shutting it off, so I’m wondering how far advanced it’s set at. Is there a way to use a timing light to to set the advance. thanks

    Gas JD 70 surging

    Like subject says motor is surging while running at above idle. Carb was rebuilt, Ive adjusted everything but cant make it stop. Thanks Pointrow

    Found a reamer. Mechanic friend had a set of ball joint reamers and one was the right one. Thanks to all who responded.

    The arm. If I can get a reamer of the proper pitch I will drill out the old hole and make a plug to weld in with the proper tapered hole. Thanks

    What taper is the hole for the steering cylinder ball joint? I need to fill in the hole and ream it out to fit. Thanks Pointrow

    1750 gas oil smoke

    Smooth running 1750 gas but when pulled hard I get white smoke coming from under the fuel tank. It does use oil when pulled hard. Any ideas or advice. Thanks Pointrow

    202 tie rod ends

    Thanks for your thoughts. Figured out the taper is 7% or some times called an 11/2 taper. Also found out mine is a 204 not a 202 . 204 has a bigger stud and is kind of odd ball. Definitely HD compared to the 202. Take care Pointrow

    Rebuild carb problem

    Im wondering why you want it out. I just make sure passages like that are cleaned out good and let them be ,if I can. That said have you tried a little heat ? And I mean a LITTLE heat. Dont want to melt it. Good luck Pointrow

    M5 trouble

    Moved my M5 the other day and while driving it something is binding or hanging up. Pulls the engine down but keeps going. It will then release some times. I dont act like a brake since they seem free and I felt the drums for heat. Any ideas? Thanks Pointrow
