    JD 5103

Working on a 5103 for a friend. It will not start. Found a few wires chewed through, fixed them, still no start. No power to the injector pump, checked the fuses found a 20 amp blown. If I disconnect he hot wire to the injector pump and turn the key on the fuse will not pop, other wise if the...

    Struck my funny bone

I don't know why this hit me as being so funny. It was in the subject line off an email from AgWeb. "With Technology, There's No Such Thing As A Bad Farmer Anymore". There's a few "good farmers" who've sure been keeping the courts and ag media busy here in Michigan the last few years. LOL

Hey Randy, We might have a 1650 coming home. Pop sold it to a neighbor and his son wants to sell it. He's going to keep it until next summer and the price is right. So unless the price of milk completely goes to crap, we are gonna bring this one home. One can always use another 1650...

Hey GT, Just saw that you liked my picture from yesterday, glad you like it, thank you! That is my dad running my twin brother's soybeans. He would like to be a farmer, but won't join me and dad as a trio, even though dad and I do 75% of his work, he is "too busy". He works 1 job, haha. I...

I wasn't planning on that to happen!!

Yesterday after work, I started the 2-62 backhoe/loader and went out to the field to move 2 stumps I dug out last fall. The diesel motor is weak, but carries about 20#s of oil pressure. I hooked a chain around one stump and picked it up and carried it over to a wash out in the fence and set it...

Remote spools on 4000, 3 cyl

Remote spools on my 4000 are leaking when in use. I haven't taken the rubber grommet off to look at them yet, they appear to be a one piece unit. These are the ones that "break away" if you forget to unhook them, I presume "factory". Are parts available or do I just replace with a TC spool? Bill
