    Timing a 37 WC

I want to check the magneto timing with a timing light on a 37 WC and am not sure which cover to take off. I notice a cover with 2 wing bolts on top of the bell housing and need to know if this is the cover I need to take off. There are 2 marks on the flywheel, which one is the correct mark...

    VAC rebuild flooding

I had similar problem with a Case CC, and it was a very small hole in the float. Take the float out and shake it and listen for gas in the float or stick the float in hot water and you will see bubbles coming out of the float if it has a leak. You may also just have a sticking or bad float...

Width of a F-20 to fit on a trailer

I am thinking of going to an auction and bidding on a F-20 farmall with rubber tires. My question is if I can haul it home on my 24' trailer that is 83" wide but has fenders that I can drive over. I know the tires might hang over some, but wondered about the inside width between the rear tires.

    Case DC clutch problem

I had the same problem with a case cc. Tried everything to break it loose and nothing worked until my brother in-law came by and had me take off the clutch adjustment inspection plate. I then loosened all of the pressure plate bolts about 6 turns each. I then put the tractor in gear and...

    clutch problem

I just had the same problem with a 1937 Case CC. I tried driving it around in gear up and down hill and also tried pulling it with engine not running in gear. Nothing worked until I took off the inspection plate and loosened the 8 bolts on the back of the pressure plate about 5 turns each and...

Case CC clutch stuck - fixed it

A few days ago I posted a problem I had with my 37 Case CC clutch being stuck. I tried all of the suggested tricks to get it loose - driving it around, rocking the tractor back and forth in gear but nothing worked. Finally I took off the inspection plate on the left side of the clutch housing...

    Case CC clutch is stuck

Jim, when you say tie the clutch down are you talking about the hand clutch lever or the belt pulley. Please explain in more detail what you mean. Also this is a steel wheeled tractor so driving at any high speed is nearly impossible. Hank.

    Case CC clutch is stuck

My Case CC clutch was working great about 1 1/2 years ago when I started preparing it for painting. Finally got it all painted and put together and it runs great but I can't get the clutch to release. I am assuming it got stuck together while sitting. How do I get it unstuck? Is it a dry or...

Case CC gas tank webbing strap?

I am restoring a 1937 Case CC and just finished painting everything with PPG paint. I am installing the gas tank which is held on by 2 metal straps. My question is should I put some webbing material under the straps - I don't think there was any webbing under the straps originally, but I hate...

    Case CC paint colors

Brian, I have located some of the paint from the case dealer but I don't want to use enamel paint, I would rather use ppg acrylic urethane single stage paint and I can't seem to find anyone that has the code or another paint code that I can cross reference. The ppg paint dealer can't cross...

    PTM 2-1 rust converter

Has anyone used a product by PTM called 2-1 rust converter and if so what do you think of it. It is fairly expensive but would be worth it if it really works. $139/gallon. It says it contains no phosphoric acid.
