    d series tractors (d-15s and d-17) Gas

    Purchased a nice 17 two years ago, cant believe I waited so long to buy one. Very well built and reliabe. It plows, disks, rakes, bales and occasionally gets a real work out giving a hay ride in the fall. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

    I hate to be repetative and ask what already has been asked in the past. My question is what grade and weight of engine oil should I be running in my D-17. I live in northern MN and dont run the tractor in the winter.

    hand cranking a CA

    Good advice from Dick, dont ever wrap your thumb around the crank handle, cup the handle in your hand and pull up quarter turns. Be patient, I messed up my hand pretty good doing it the wrong way.
