    Tanning hog hide

    I have a fairly small piece of hog skin I would like to tan. I have done a goat hide years ago with Borax and Neat"s foot oil, but I am not sure that would hold up this time. I have this idea about wrapping the hide around my boat oar where it rides in the sculling knotch.

    OT Streaked head turtles

    Anybody tried eating streaked head turtles. I am not sure of the proper name for them but they have yellow stripes on thier head. I have not seen softshells but there are plenty of the streaked heads.

    Briggs model 14

    I picked up a David Bradley yesterday that has a Briggs and Stratton on it. Best I can tell it is a Model 14. I sanded the points but am not getting fire. Can you test the coil? Other than the finger test? Does anybody know of a good place to find parts for such a beast? I was told the engine...

    Tagging camper (no title)

    A friend has a camper that he got for free but it came without a title. Been so long since it has had a tag on it and changed hands so many times he can't track it back that far. I thought he might be able to get a tag for a homemade trailer but don't know what or how much he would have to do...

    Sorry I didn't think to put the tape measure by it for comparison the first time. I know snakes don't have skeletons but I don't see anywhere this thing had any legs. No hip bone.

    Honda GXV340

    I have a Honda engine that has throttle linkage problems. There must have been a spring give up the ghost on it somewhere. Can anybody point me in the direction of a picture of what the linkage is supposed to look like? I found a picture on the Honda site but can"t make good sense out of it. Thanks

    What would ya'll use to paint a truck frame? I am leaning towards using Chassis Saver. Does anybody have any horror stories about something you might have used?

    I bought a 1960 Chevrolet pick-up with a straight 6 in it that is missing some parts. How do I find out what size the engine is so I can try to find these remaining parts a new home? Thanks

    11 hp Honda

    I have an 11 hp Honda vertical shaft that is surging. If I adjust the idle up to stop the surging the throttle has no effect on the motor (will not throttle down). I have cleaned the carb and air filter but is still surging. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

    11 horse Honda

    I have an 11 horse Honda on a Snapper rear engine rider. It is running rough like it is trying to flood, but I can turn the fuel off and it does not even out before it dies. I have cleaned the carb and put a new spark plug in it. The carb does not have any adjustments on it like the older ones do.

    Tell me what I found

    Thier is a tag on it that said it was sold by Sears and Roebuck Co. Has a number on it. 917.575143 Serial # 63201 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Kohler K301

    I have Kohler K301 12 horse that was running great. It sat for about 2 or 3 weeks in the shed and now it won't crank. It's got fuel, it's got good spark. All it wants to do is blow fire out the carb. Is that trying to tell me something?

    I have a Sears SS12 and the numbers have worn off the tag. Can anybody tell me how to go about finding out what year it is?

    Kohler coil

    I have a Kohler K321A. It is not getting a good spark. I have cleaned the points and all but still a weak spark. I have put a test light on the points side of the coil and it is not too bright. Should I be getting 12 volts from the coil to the points? Thanks

    Briggs and stratton carb

    I have an 18hp Briggs and Stratton twin that keeps flooding. I have had two carburetors on it and it does the same thing. Could something cause it to flood other than the carburetor? Thanks
