Agco ST 25 hydraulic dip stick?

Mother in law bought a used ST 25.....it's an early model, not sure of the year. It has a front end loader and the return line is run up to the inlet to add hydraulic oil. I can't find the dip stick to check the oil level. Does it have one or a sight gauge? Anyone able to help me?

    2520 wiring harness diode

I've been having trouble with my 2520. The alt light wouldn't come on when I turned the key on. A local JD mechanic tested and found that the diode in the wiring harness has no continuity. I think it's supposed to be attached to the instrument panel support. I know it's supposed to act...

    1969 2520 alternator problem

When I turn on the key, the alternator light should shine....right? Well, mine doesn't. I have power to the alternator (the big red wires) but no power going to the alternator light. It is the original alternator (Motorola, I think) and I would like to keep the tractor original as possible...

    Positive ground on 1967 4020LP?

I recently bought my MIL a 1967 4020LP. I drove it home and started it again just a couple of days ago. This morning, I went out and tried to start it to do some routine maintenance and was going to start plumbing in the 158 loader into the hydraulic system. It wouldn't even turn over....no...

Changing 4020 158 loader so that I don't use remote on back

I have a 1967 model 4020. I'm trying to plumb for a loader. It already has one that is using the remote for power. It had the hydraulic control lever wired down....that is, it was pulled down and wired in place. That makes the loader controls work correctly...if I reverse the control lever...

$ hydraulic hoses for JD 148 FEL

I need to replace the hoses on my 148 loader...specifically the front ones up by the bucket. There are eight hoses....all of them with at least one end on a swivel and almost all of them between 16-22 inches long. I bought one Friday at the local JD dealership that was eighteen inches...

Re: 1969 JD 4020 how to run loader plus disc single hydraul

Use the search engine on this website......There are lots of threads advising how to plumb in your FEL without using a Power beyond block. It's less money and a better option. IMO

    help with mother-in-laws 4010 propane

Sister-in-law and her significant other came down to visit my MIL. They borrowed the 4010 for a while to load up some stuff to haul back to their home. They came down and said it wasn't running right. Pulled it down to the lp tank and put in some propane. And put in maybe 3 quarts of oil in...

    rims for a 4010

I was wondering if anyone knows of a site that will list any (all) rims that will fit my 4010??? Or interchangeability of rims from one manufacturer to the next. My in-laws have an old case 1370 with 20.8x38 tires that I suspect the rims and tires would fit on John Deere tractors. The...

    AC 860 cotton stripper

I'm trying to remember what was used in the hydraulic system on the old AC 860 cotton strippers. I remember using ATF but can't remember if it was type f or Dexron. I think dexron, but I can't find my old manual and figured it would be easier asking here that trying to find the manual. TIA!

    Opinions on 4850 FWA????

I farm about 420 acres of wheat (why??? I don't know). Anyway, I'm needing a tractor. I have a regular job...six days a week, get off around two in the afternoon. I need something that isn't too expensive and would rather have something like a regular tractor with fwa. My brother would...

    2520 loadshaft leaking

I have been having problems fixing the leak on my loadshaft. Put in new seals and new shaft...still leaks. So I have now put in new bushings in the transmission housing and was wondering if I need to put in new bushings in the front drawbar support, (the ones the load shaft slides through)...

    JD 850 Dozer

My FIL has a brother who owns a 850 dozer. Once it warms up after using if for a few hours, the hydro transmission begins to slip....until it won't move. FIL says that supposedly they (JD) have quit selling parts for the hydro and not much of any way to fix the problem. Sorry that I don't...

    2520 loadshaft

Working on the loadshaft of my 2520....it had a small leak but oil is so expensive, I decided to fix it. I got a new shaft and seals. I tried the shaft in the old transmission bushings....a little loose, but not too bad. But the bushings on the drawbar support seemed pretty loose. They are...

    4010 radiator

The core on the 4010 diesel is shot....can't be repaired. I can get a complete radiator (made overseas) for around $500. I've also found a used radiator out of a 4010 LP. Is the only difference in the diesel and lp radiator the two holes in the top tank (for the on/off rods)? Or does anyone...

    4010 air cleaner

I have a 4010 diesel with the original oil bath air cleaner. I've taken the air cleaner off the tractor and would like to know if there is someway to clean the screens up in the main body of the air cleaner. I've cleaned the bottom part that fits above the oil, but I noticed that the cannister...
