ANSWER: Can track pads be saw-cut?

This message is a reply to an archived post by Bob Doss on September 06, 2011 at 15:17:49. The original subject was "Can track pads be sawcut?". Some years ago, I posted this question, but my original post has been archived. I decided to record my results here in case anyone else has the same...

    Transmission fluid blow-out??

I just bought my second JD350. The transmisison took several quarts of JD 303 fluid to bring it to the FULL mark on the dipstick. When I moved it for the first time, a lot of fluid was blown out on the ground. The dipstick now comes out dry. Any ideas, especially any that don't require a major...

Need help identifying my injection pump

The attached pictures are the injection pump on my JD350. According to jdparts.com, it SHOULD be a John Deere AR69817 (Roosa-Master JDB331AL2732). The id plate is missing, so I can't be sure what pump I really have. It has the "mouse turds" in it that jdemaris describes in other postings, so...

    Can track pads be saw-cut?

I replaced the 12" street tracks on my JD350 loader with some 14" grouser tracks from a dozer. Now the grouser pads hang on the loader's frame, causing the packing in the track adjusters to blow out. If practical, I'd like to pull the 14" grouser pads off their chains and have someone cut them...

Remove a link to shorten the chain??

The track adjusters on my JD350 are almost fully extended, to the point that they buckle upward at the point where the piston emerges from the cylinder. There is about 1.5" of rail in front of the idler axle bracket. After I pump up the track adjusters, I can only run for a short time before...

    JD 350 Steering Linkage Question

My JD350 loader has never turned right very well, despite lots of adjusting. When I pull back on the lever, the 5/16" adjusting screw doesn"t hit the boss squarely, and has bent and slipped past the boss several times. Recently I looked closer, and the shaft doesn"t appear to rotate AT ALL when...

    JD360 jammed in 2 gears??

When I parked my JD350 crawler loader this past fall, it seemed to be working fine. But when I tried to use it a few days ago, the shift lever would not move (jammed in the first gear position). When I let out the clutch, the engine immediately stalls without moving the tracks at all (not even...
