    1952 A starter model # 1108950

    took the little metal sleeve off of the brush end of the starter and one of the brushes fell out along with the spring that was broken also. the brush was still attached to the little metal clip that holds it in place and it looks like it had rusted thru and someone tried to solder it back in...

    1952 A checked the spark plugs and they need replaced any preferrences on what plug to use? it has champion D23 in it now

    rear axle seal leaking

    1952? A has a leak on the left side where the axle goes into the frame and it is slobbering on the wheel. i am assuming there is a seal in there. how difficult are those to fix?

    got the carb adjusted best i could. i could not move the load needle. letting it soak a while in blaster but i did play with the idle. it was open 2 plus turns. its about 1 and 3/4 turns now, if i turned it back any more than that it would die out and after adjusting the clutch, 2 castle...

    6 volt or 12 volt

    1952 A put a volt meter on the genny while it was running and it read 5 volts. shut it off and put the volt meter on the battery and it showed 12 volts. just got the tractor yesterday. there are some pics on a previous post. how do i determine if it is 6 or 12 volt.and how do you check the oil...

    pistons, rings and sleeves

    8n 12 volt side mount. wanted to put new rings sleeves and pistons in got her tore down and the number 4 piston looked like i poured a Tbs.of oil on it, it was so wet thot i would find cracked rings, but did not. showing a little wear on the sides of the pistons but rings dont look bad.it...
