    Log splitter with gx390 engine

What is the quietest muffler you can put on a log splitter with a Honda gx390 motor. Purchased flanges to go to a 1 inch pipe with pipe thread so will use black iron fittings to get where I need to be. Was looking at a generator muffler Just want the quitest muffler available that doesn’t...

    Old Electric Motor

sounds like a wiring issue Years and years ago if you got a shock from a refrigerator you would just turn the plug over and stick it back in - shock eliminated Start with the easiest - no cost possibilities first use a volt meter and check: 1.) your wall plug just to make sure its wired...

    Literature---1963 Oliver 1600 4 Wheel Brochure

3-16 rollover plow is what I'd match up with this tractor (or 4-12 non-rollover) -- same for all the 50-60 drawbar hp tractors (Ford 5000, IH 666 & 686, JD 3020, etc). A non rollover pulls slightly easier but think it would struggle with 4-16 or 5-12. You can always find the guy who loads...

    Kubota BX2200

problem is there is a very high chance that the several hundred starter you just purchased (and can’t return) doesn’t fix the problem. Start with the $10 solution first had the same steering issue and while you could have an internal leak the pictures in the other post clearly show it’s the...

    Kubota BX2200

No no no Their are a number of safety switches that build up just enough corrosion preventing the starter solenoid from fully engaging. The starter circuit appears to work as it should but doesn’t have enough power So you would need to check/clean/replace every safety switch and connector for...

    Kubota BX2200

I responded to your other post and just saw this Start with the easiest and least expensive first with the highest probability it’s the problem Is put in the horn relay in the starter circuit. Wire that tells the starter to engage goes to the horn relay and horn relay tells the starter relay...

    Bx starter

Not sure what you mean by stuck Check the mounting plate to make sure it isn’t bent If not engaging or sometimes engaging add a horn relay in the starter circuit. The safety switches build up enough corrosion to drop the voltage/current just enough to make you think it’s ok but won’t let the...

Farmall super m with m and w stuff

Only problem is the drive train / trans especially the rear end can’t handle that much HP. The IH 560 with a 6 cylinder ( next generation with M ) had some big rear end issues ending in an expensive recall. Good job getting 100 hp out of an M

    Hydraulic line replacement

Rented one once and a rock fell and bent a hyd fitting. They were standard 1/4 inch pipe thread fittings and hyd hose. Nothing special You might run into an o ring or JIC (flared) so just be careful if the threads don’t match Surplus center is generally where I get my stuff from. And they...

    Plastic mulch layer

Good points Will be pulling it behind a 4 ft rototiller behind a 22 hp Kubota bx. I rip the ground with a subsoiler before I rototill. Will build hitch to connect with adjusters and some floating to level Did this before with angle iron. Eventually redesigned the plastic layer for a 3...

Things to check Rock between steering linkage and axle. Happens when your using the loader in soft sandy/rocky soils Bent steering cylinder brackets. I doubled it on the brackets to solve this one. Just bending it back works for a while but the problem returns. The BX I use as a TBL with...

Had an 8 ft and 12 ft when I was growing up Didn’t like them. Swayed all over the place when going down the road in road gear. Light duty and didn’t disk level. Didn’t really chop up stuff well. 8 ft was horrible and 12 was better but not much. Did pull ease could pull the 8 ft with a...

    Hydraulic problem

Ding ding ding. It’s the loader valve Ran into this issue a few years ago on a Kubota bx22 and bx2200 when hooking up a snowblower. One had the regen valve —- the other valve (an option for the front quick hitch) that had second float position on the curl spool. On the same tractor I tried...
