    Ih 460 diesel utility

    Just bought a 58 460 diesel utility. How many of them were made? Been sitting in this shed for decades. Covered up had a blown head gasket and was never fixed. Says it has 615 hrs on it. Would like to know as much info on it as possible!

    450 head studs

    Putting my head studs back into the block tonight and have read that the ones that go into the water jacket areas need to have either Teflon tape or pipe dope on the thread to help seal them? Is that true?

    Sorry I typed to fast! It currently has flattop pistons and want to know if the step head pistons that this company sells would fit? I dont see any replacements for the flat tops, were the stepheads a replacement for them?

    Hello, currently starting to dig into my 450 gas. Needs a basic in frame rebuild kit. It has flat top pistons in it currently and see they dont sell them anymore in a kit? Will the flattop pistons fit? Just wanna double check things before I go out and buy a kit that wont work for me. TIA!

    Plugged the gauge into to outlet and had tractor running 3/4-full throttle for the 1100 psi. Not sure on the cylinder size probably a 3 cylinder maybe 2.5 but would have to check.     Resealed my pump on my mta over the winter, never had or have used the hydraulics until today when using a 12 disk. Wouldnt lift it well had to rev the engine all the way up to get it to go up if I was lucky. I tested the pump on the hoses and had 1100 psi. I believe they run 1200psi? Anyway...
