So I have a leak coming from the govenor arm at the bottom where it goes into the timing chain area. .I would like to replace
the worn out seal but first have to get the arm off. There is a pin to remove with a punch to get the arm of the shaft. Taking
out many many many pins in my life I have never ever ever seen such a pin in so tight. I stopped trying as I did not want to
bend anything inside the housing.next I will remove the cover that it goes into and try to put the arm in a vice close to the
pin so I can drive it out . Has anyone ever got one out without clamping the arm in a vice?..What did they do ? freeze the pin
and drive it in in the factory ? seems like a little of over kill to me . A simple splined and a matching arm would have been
enough. .even if they had to put a clamp .Has anyone ever had this much trouble getting one out .and how do I or where do I get
the shaft seal seperately ? does it come with a gasket set or can it be bought by itself?..thanks
