Amazon, bad changes

I buy a lot of my tools and automotive parts on Amazon. Been real happy in the past, but am now deciding if I want to continue with my past decisions. Seems like a lot of the sellers are getting very poor in their support of the product they sell. A lot are now using the pass the buck routine. Amazon support in and of itself is going down hill, have a difficult problem and you keep getting passed from person to person on their chat platform. And they have also changed their seller / buyer messaging. No longer is the answer given to you directly in email where you can save it, you are given a link to their website message board. Problem with this is if you have an on going message stream they seem to replace all of the answers with the most current response, leaving you no audit trail.

he only problem I've had with Amazon is when I purchased an item "through" Amazon, not "from" Amazon. Won't make that mistake again.

It is inconvenient but effective to save your ongoing thread via screen shots in case you later need proof of something. A creen shot is just a pic so you can name each something meaningful for later reference.

Never bought anything from Amazon, never will. Anything I need I either get directly from an online vendor, or happily purchase from a local hometown store.

i'm sorry to hear this. i already stopped using ebay because of this kind of stuff.

Well, aren't you lucky that you seem to live in Utopia. The simple truth is that most of us don't. Amazon "Priority" is a good way to get something fast that you can not find in town.

True.

I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon. According to their web site I've place 26 orders in the last 3 months. And I can't recall ever having a problem that I could
blame onto Amazon.

I know you're supposed to support your local businesses, but it's simpler to surf around a bit and click on 'Buy Now' than to chase around town for a half day and
come up empty handed. My home town has morphed from a retail center into a bedroom community and most of the retailers are gone.

Amazon Prime is great. One time, I actually ordered something very early in the morning only to have it delivered in the afternoon of the SAME day. But, most of the time it's next day or a two day delivery which can't be beat.

Weve stopped using Amazon almost completely. Even the shipping is not the same. We live in small town Nebraska and it is 3-4 days for 2 Day shipping. The quality is a joke. We canceled our Prime. For automotive parts I go through RockAuto. Walmart and Target are great for household stuff. I use this site for my tractor parts.

I have never Amazoned and never will.

I have been searching for a way to eliminate Amazon from even showing altogether when I search for a product on the web.

"THE QUALITY IS A JOKE"

You are aware that Amazon does not manufacture all the stuff listed on their site, right?

It takes me 30 minutes to drive into town and 30 minutes to drive back, only to find that no one has what I need.

Amazon Prime gets me what I want. You guys can cry about Amazon all you want but it works for me.

You got some vested interest in Amazon that you are carrying their flag so proudly????

amen. i don't get enough stuff to justify prime, but they insisted on yet another free trial when i placed an order yesterday

for me, it's 25 minutes one way, i always call ahead first these days. in this last case, no one sold there sells what i wanted. amazon did. it will be here tomorrow.

'sold there sells'

i'd edit it but i figure it would bork the quotes.

Back in 1876 a man named Alexander Graham Bell invented a thing everyone calls a telephone.

Need to look into getting one. They have a magical power built in that can save you a huge amount of time and gas.

Call someone and ask if they have a cup of sugar. And if they don't. Well you just saved yourself from wasting an hour of your day and a little gasoline.

I had three orders last week, one was three days locked
in the USPS loop. But the post office sending it to
Kentucky twice when it started in St Louis MO, and
needed to go 80 miles north of there,is not on Amazon.
