Had an unseen, very slow fuel leak on the bottom of a tractor fuel tank. How does one clean up the gooey, sticky mess left behind by the bio??? Brake or carb cleaner don't seem to phase it. Would E 85 cut through the sticky goo? Any other suggestions?

Guesses-Since it's not petroleum based, maybe something like Dawn dish liquid? Heat would undoubtedly help. Scalding water from a
pressure washer would probably get it.

If it hasnt set up hard yet , sounds like it hasnt , gas will cut it as will fresh non bio diesel with a lot of scrubbing with a wire brush. That said
I soaked a sediment bowl that had dried bio diesel in it for about a year in straight sea foam . I filled it let it soak would scrub some now and
then then add new sea foam and let it soak.that being said we did get it off in the wash tub at work with what ever cleaning fluid they
supplied but there again lots of wire brush work.

you need the good old fashioned Gunk carb cleaner to brush on it. it used to be so strong u didnt dare get it on your hands, but like
everything else now a days its all environmently friendly .
