We've got a Deutz 4006 that we've just started working on. We are going to replace the starter, but we have to remove a metal hydraulic line first in order to remove the original starter. One end of the metal hydraulic line is connected to a Bosch hydraulic pump, while the other end runs to the rear of the tractor (in front of the shift) and is connected there. My questions:
1. Is this hydraulic line under any pressure?
2. Do we need to prime the hydraulic pump after reconnecting?
3. Do we need to bleed the hydraulic lines after reconnecting?
Does anyone know of any manuals pertaining to the Deutz 4006 hydraulic system? We just haven't found very much information on it. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
