I have noticed that the engine oil in my 60 row crop has taken on a grainy appearance. Not milky, however I suspect water is getting into the oil as I don't know what else would give it a grainy look.
Is there any way water can get in the oil supply other than the head gasket? Were these motors fitted with pressed in sleeves? I would appreciate some advice before pulling the head, which will probably involve broken manifold studs etc. The tractor runs perfectly, doesn't smoke or get hot, and has no visible water leaks or cracks anywhere.
