MF65 pulling

Hi, just got back from watching the tractor pulls at the fair and have decided I want to pull my MF65 next year. My concern is that I do not have a rear differential lock. Is this an issue? I have never pulled before and would appreciate any tips on starting out. My tractor is an MF65 with the gas motor and 3 speed hi/lo transmission. Thanks!

Look into the rules for the club. 99% of the rules say no diff locks or locked diff by other means. So with that said set your drawbar and hitch and go pulling. And watch out you will have a WHOLE LOT OF FUN .

My kid pulls a 65 gas with 38in. rubber, dif lock not needed, set the wheels narrow and let er buck. Almost always goes straight and will spin both to a stop, he's got his share of hardware on the shelf.

I pull my 65 at 4500, 5500, 6500 stock classes. I run 13.6 x 38 firestone 7000 radials and carry 3-4 100lb weights in the 4500 lb class. Plenty of motor, in a pace class I run 3rd low at 4500, 5500-6500 2nd low. Non pace I can run 1st high in 4500 class. Hope this helps, any questions, ask.
