I'm pretty sure my injector pump on my continental HD277 is
leaking diesel into the crankcase. The oil level was at the add
line when I started, and 1.5 hours later when I shut it down it
was half way between add and full, and it seemed pretty runny
for 15w40 oil, which is brand new. I just had the engine apart
to replace the rear main seal.
Is it a manageable job to rebuilt the pump myself, or should I
be taking it into a rebuilder?
Also, are kits even available to rebuild it?
