my new one quit today, im looking for the reciept to see if is can be replaced. hopefully i can find it because i dont remember where i bought it from, and i sure dont wana pay for another, it has only been on the tractor since mid spring.

Buy the type that comes off with a push button instead of having to drive the roll pin out.
Costs a little more but is better, safer.

Hmmm... I have had a few spring loaded pins on couplers fail/come apart over the years and never once had a problem with my roll-pinned ORC.

The more moving parts there are the more likely it'll fail.

But I can see if you are removing it for other equipment other then a mower... Would be more convenient...

...but check your PTO shaft first. I got one like that from AgriSupply, then found my 1-1/8" PTO shaft ('51 8N) does not have the groove needed to accept pushbutton connections. Had to return it and get the roll pin variety.

Randy.......would it surprize you to learn that ORC's come in 4-variations??? 1-1/8F input, 1-3/8F input, 1-1/8M output, 1-3/8M output. It just depend upon BOTH yer PTO output size (go measure) and yer brushhogg input size (go measure)

Early 8N PTO's were 1-1/8M but many have been changed to the later modern 1-3/8M PTO. Its so simple to go measure. They're both 6-spline. And surprizingly enuff, the box the ORC comes in even includes pictorial instructions on how to install the 5/16x2" roll-pin. Simple, eh? .......respectfully, Dell

Sorry for the delayed response but I just got home for the night. Thanks for the suggestion rmlarsen. Been a while since I visited the site and forgot they sell parts. Think that I will get one here. Thanks!

Joe, I had the same problem. Took a Makita disk grinder and cut my own groove. Works "groovy"...sorry, just had to say it!
