Question for chad

Hey chad. Do you have a engine kit for a 300 block and what are your dimensions? I have been trying to call you for 2 weeks now and no answer. Pulling is comin around soon and i need some ideas.

Im not chad but 3 3/4 x 5.5 sounds like a good set up. i think pistons out of a c-291 ih 6 cylinder gas will drop right in if you pull the sleeves out of your 300 block. Chad makes the rings to fill the void at the top of the cylinder where the sleeve was. just my 2 cents (that will put you at 243 ci)

Well thanks Blackih300. Once you pull the sleeves do you hard block half of the motor? I had a h block that i didnt hard block and i sent a piston through the side last fall. No im contuplating hard blocking it for some more strength.

Take out the sleeves. Bore to accept 3 13/16" pistons. No need to hard block with these. Paul Marlett makes the pistons and are the cheapest I found. Then have Sony at Bullett cams cut your cam. Then get a 350 propane head, put in 350 chevy value springs and roller rockers. Put on an M carb and work it a little. Add 14.9 38" 23 degree tires. Start it up and hang on. Get use to driving the new motor and enjoy some winning. BobZ

291 pistons, at 3.75,,, at 5 inches of stroke, are .020 up past the block deck.

Ray, at Extreme Tractor Parts, (JD B PULLER) Has a 3.8125 bore piston kit for stock stroke H-350.
Makes 195ci, with custom dome options, talored to fit your head. (best money spent for stock stroke, big bore kits)

I offer strokers for H-350. All use stock rods, some are easy, some are not easy to build. $2500 to 3750 price ranges for kits.

I wouldnt be afraid to run it without hard block, but it does add alot of stregth. just remember if you do hard block it, to have the bore rechecked. ive heard about hardblock shrinking or oblonging the bore. I ran a 300 for 5 years that was bored to 3.875 with no hardblock and the crank failed before the pistons/block. I would call and talk to Chad, he has some great ideas and can get you most or all the parts you will need! Matt

USAP had tractors ranging from 70 to 180hp.

I went, spun out. Plenty of power my little engine makes.

If you think the guy with the most power wins everytime, your seriously misinformed.
