For not having the (what I call porn advertising headers top and bottom) of the posts. I want to commend you for your vision of what a excellent tractor forum is to me .Bravo

Thank you very much. I know what you mean, it can be pretty tough to read a page when the bottom and sides of the screens are flashing ads in an out (sometimes hanging up the browser). That's how a lot of sites stay alive though, on ad money. In 2000 we had that for awhile, but the community said they didn't like it, so we took them off and let the parts side of the business foot the bill for the forums. Still that way.

I am also very greatful for no adds. A big assumption on my part, but YT as a company that sells merchandise, tractor parts mainly; financially supported the operation of the forum. Now of course it is All States Ag Parts which YT is a part of however that is all separated or conglomerated I have no clue. More detailed info on that would require a private conversation with a moderator. As I am sure you know many other forums rely on adds for financial support. I did notice that I left my preference set to receive YT updates and news letter etc. Now I received an email from ASAP about a parts sales promotion. I will have to see how often they come, if to many I will turn it off.

I don't think that's coming from the forum data, I could be wrong but it's only been live for 2 days. I get them too. Those don't come often since I see them too. Sometimes they have used engines in them which they've refurbed or just pulled. I find that interesting. The thing we'd like to do but haven't talked about, is getting the newsletter going again. That would be sent out based on that check box. In my thinking, it would be interesting to let community members provide a deep dive into their tractor each month, how they got it, restored it and use it. Just talking, we aren't doing that sort of thing yet.

All States (actually now partsasap.com) funds everything from the servers to the software. They are pretty committed to YT. They have a team that works with us daily to make sure we have everything we need.
