Tw15 series 1 has blown the orimgs between the hydraulic remote valve stacks twice this year. What would cause the issue. Figured maybe old orings sitting on the shelf from cnh too long? But twice
Improper assembLy? Warped or damaged valve body or cover?Tw15 series 1 has blown the orimgs between the hydraulic remote valve stacks twice this year. What would cause the issue. Figured maybe old orings sitting on the shelf from cnh too long? But twice
About the only thing I can think of other than defective or wrong orings would be either improper torque sequence of the cover, or else the pressures are in excess of rated specs. For the latter to happen there would have to be a stuck closed relief valve, which is pretty much unheard of. Easy to check for though, just stick a pressure gauge in any remote coupler and pull the handle back. Going from memory, you shouldn't see much more than 2500 PSI.Tw15 series 1 has blown the orimgs between the hydraulic remote valve stacks twice this year. What would cause the issue. Thats what im trying to figure out…Sounds likre that valve stack has more thsn oring problems....

I dont know squat sbout the TW15 but when a valve leaks like a sieve its usually worn out.Thats what im trying to figure out…
Start with a pressure check, rule that out.Thats what im trying to figure out…
I would but its blowing oil everywhere which ever remote i useStart with a pressure check, rule that out.
Where izthe leak? Does it leak if you dont operate the remotes?I would but its blowing oil everywhere which ever remote i use
Some pictures with arrows drawn in by yourself would be nice about right now.I would but its blowing oil everywhere which ever remote i use
Those orings are static face seals - no backup rings. Backup rings are anti-extrusion devices intended for dynamic seals.Do these use the o ring and that harder backer ring as well?
Paul
Its leaking in between the 2 remote valve bodys under the cab. Theres 3 orings per stack and the cover. So when i pull the levers its sprays oil out from where it blew the orings. I suppose ill have to throw another set of o rings at it and take a pressure test. The first set lasted about 2 years the second set lasted about 6 monthsSome pictures with arrows drawn in by yourself would be nice about right now.
Thats for the coupler itself i think your thinking of. My issue is between the valve bodys under the cab where the bolt the stack together. Its leaking between the 2Do these use the o ring and that harder backer ring as well?

With a leak like tha8t a pressure test is basically meaningless. I also csn't imagine this sort of static seal failure from over pressure. Those seals are pretty stout and I expect something else would probably fail first.Thats for the coupler itself i think your thinking of.
