    NH 489 wheel bearing #'s

    FYI, while the bearing numbers are correct the set numbers for the outer bearing are incorrect. The A2 set has a bore of .75, not the required .87

    Thanks Bob! I"m going to print this off and file it in the shop. The numbers pretty much confirmed what I had figured out with my dial calipers. I was a bit nervous about my measuring results, it seems that tapered roller bearings don"t always hit even metric or English sizes.

    What twine are you running? One baler we used simply would not run the lighter twine, 12000" as I recall. The heavier (9000")worked fine.

    The wheel bearings in our 489 had a nice catastrophic failure and I cannot get the numbers. If someone has the Timken numbers I would really appreciate it. Nothing against NH but the local I don"t care for the local dealer. Thanks!

    We have a 300 industrial which I believe is pretty close to the 1020. How involved is it to add a mid pto? Is it fairly straight forward or a nightmare? I guess the other question is how rare are the parts? Thanks in advance.

    The bugger is between the valve cover and the manifold/turbo. About zero room to work. I may have to see about borrowing a puller.

    I need to pull a pencil injector and cannot find my old homemade tool. To fabricate a new too I need of the correct measurement of the distance across the flats of the injector. I've tried but can't get anything in there to measure it. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Aaron
