    JD #5 grass stick

Just wondering if anyone knows the length of the grass stick for a #5 mower? The manual doesn't give the length, mine snapped off at some point. Thinking of just getting a 3 foot dowel and use that but just wondering how long it might have been. Thanks.

    tucker finger JD 24T

Thanks for the information everyone. At least I know a little bit more and that'll help me make a decision on the baler. If I get, I'll report back. Much appreciated. Chris

    tucker finger JD 24T

Quick question, I know next to nothing about small square balers, apart from I'd like to have. Going to look at. 24T baler tomorrow. Paint looks great, definitely well taken care of, but the seller says it needs a new tucker finger bracket. Everything else is good. I'm taking a friend...

    Farmhand 102 wheel rake

North Dakota. Southeast of minot. Got the rake for next to nothing, and it works well enough. Just can't raise/lower the wheels. Its been sitting outside for several years. It worked olay last fall, went to crank up the wheels tjis uear and it stripped out...I think the size nut I need is...

    Farmhand 102 wheel rake

Hadn't thought about that. I was taking a door brace out of a grain bin and it was coarse thread, but definitely a finer pitch than the crank/ nut on the rake...

    Farmhand 102 wheel rake

So I was wondering if there are any sources of repair parts for these wheel rakes. Mine has the hand crank to raise/lower the wheels. The nut it turns in is rusted and stripped out. It's not a normal bolt thread, but if I can't find a part I'll make my own using a long bolt or some all...

    International 1100 mower

Not too long ago I purchased an 1100 mower, and I have a question. Trying to get it working with my Oliver 880. Problem is in adjusting the pro shaft, it's currently a bit short. Judging by the marks on the pto cover it is adjustable, but it had been outside for awhile and I think it's rusted...

    Random hydraulic questions

Thanks for the input. It was a random thought, I just need to figure out a better way to hang it when I'm running the mower.

    Random hydraulic questions

Nothing Oliver specific, but they came to mind after driving my 880 the other day. Which fired right up after an almost five month nap. Is there a need to have a hose connecting the hydraulic hoses when they are not being used? I have dual hydraulics, one of which is used with the three...

    Hissing gas tank/generator question

I'll have check that next time I fire the tractor up. The belt seems tight enough, and I was to sure how to check it out. Thanks

    Hissing gas tank/generator question

I thought it was something along those lines, just thought I'd ask. Not sure the cap I have is vented. It's somewhat rusty and the tank itself needs to be cleaned and sealed. Thanks

    Hissing gas tank/generator question

Good morning, two questions today. 1959 880 gas, was using the tractor to rake some hay for a couple hours or so. Finished up, parked the tractor, let it idle a bit and then shut her down. When all was quiet there was a hissing sound, appeared to be from the gas cap. Should the gas cap be...
