    7700 3-point float?

I have a new-to-me 7700 and I'm wondering if the 3-point arms have a float position. I can't find anything in the owners manual that shows that ability. I'd like to use the tractor on a back blade to move snow this winter.

Category ll 3 point hitch stabilizers

Does anyone know of a source for a Category 2 three point hitch stabilizer bar? I need one for my 7700. All I can find online are Category 1 bars. Thanks.

    7700 hydraulics???

I just bought a 7700 and couldn't be happier with it, but I can't figure out the remote hydraulics. From the back of the tractor, there are three sets of remote couplings - two stacked couplings on the left, and a single set on the right. But there are only two remote levers next to the seat...

    7700 battery cover

Just bought a 7700. It's in great condition, but the battery cover is missing and I'm having trouble finding one. Does anyone have a source for this part? Thanks for any help.

    Coolant conditioner?

I just bought a Ford 7700 for a haying tractor. It has 5,700 hours on it and looks to be very well-maintained. I know this engine is subject to cavitation. What is your go-to coolant conditioner? I'm guessing my local Ford/New Holland dealer has something on the shelf, but my guess is it's...

    7700 cab rear window

I'm buying a 7700 with a cab. I plan on using it to run a New Holland bale wagon, so I need to reach back and run the levers that operate the tables on the bale wagon. How difficult is it to remove the rear window? I don't think sliding it open will give me enough room Thanks for any help.

    706 pto

Hello all, I'm looking at buying a 706. It seems to be in great shape, but the one question I have is whether IH ever came up a better way to secure the little pin that holds the pto valve together. I used to have a 756 for many years and loved it, but it drove me crazy to have to get under...

    How to remove 1070 brakes???

How do you remove the brake assembly from a 1070? I can't get the links between the brake rod and the actuating discs out. The nuts connecting them to the actuating discs just spin with the bolt, and the pin connecting the links to the brake rod won't go back far enough to release the links...

    1070 red & white filters

I just changed the steering/brake/remotes filter and the transmission filter on the new-to-me 1070. I dropped out the steering/brake filter and it was white. I was a little confused because the instructions that came with the new filters said that filter, A61234, was the red one. The white...

    7740 hydraulic question

A 7740 may be too new to this forum, but I have a fairly simple question. I found one for sale and it has one of the remote levers held back with a bungee cord. On the right console, it's the lever furthest back on the outside (not that that makes any difference). It's the right size tractor...

    Any mechanics out there?

Is anyone able and willing to put a seal kit in a power brake master cylinder off a 1070? I got it off and saw that the retaining clips holding the caps around the plunger were pretty much gone - they came out in pieces. But I don't think that's why there's hydraulic oil flowing out of the...

    1070 pouring out hydraulic fluid

Turns out it's the right brake. Must have blown a seal or 0-ring. Of course, I can't but just a seal or o-ring, but the dealership has a seal kit for $147. One interesting thing I found - the caps on both the right and left master cylinders had slipped out almost past the retaining rings...

    1070 pouring out hydraulic fluid

I had the 1070 hooked up to the plow and used the remotes to raise and lower the tail wheel. The remotes hadn't been working, but after I worked the remote lever back and forth they slowly started working. But then I noticed hydraulic fluid pouring down the right side of the tractor. It's...
