    new holland 78 baler

    I"ve got a new holland #78 wire tie baler that I"m getting ready to put new knotters, wire guides and cutters on. Does anyone know what the clearances are to be set at? Don"t have a manual and the dealer didn"t have anything to go off of either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Pop River tools all junk?????????

    I have had mine for 10 years now and haven't had any problems. I have used it on thousands of rivets. Got it and home depot. Think its a arrow brand. Has bright orange rubber grips.

    Paint gun for tractors, etc.

    I use a gravity feed gun. Nothing fancy. Got it at Lowes or home depot. It was about a 130 bucks. I spray primer and paint threw it and have not had any problems. Painted several tractors with it including the sheet metal and they turned out great.

    battery acid removal

    What to uses to kill battery acid on metal? I tried bake soda and washing with hot soap water after. But after primed and painted it seems to still haunt me.

    High heat paints

    High temp engine paint. Can get it at any auto parts store. Use it on all my manifolds and mufflers without any issues.

    Adding options to 1940 John Deere H

    Yes you sure can add them on. I just put a pto in my 41 H last winter. Nothing to it. Already had the Hydrolics but there isn't much to that either. May try McGrew's or find someone that has a H that they are parting out that has what you are needing.

    paint color for massey 40

    Needing some help from a Massey guy. I have a massey 40 that a man wants me to paint for him. It is currently red tins and gray everything else. He claims that the tins are suppost to be a creamish white color. Can seem to find and pics on this tractor since it was only made two years...

    What weight gear lube was used in the early 40s tractors? The stuff that I have drained for mine is supper thick.

    I am in the process of putting a pto in my H. Since I have the old lube out and everything exposed I want to put new gear lube back in it. What weight was used in this tractor? My books don't say what weight should be used and the stuff that came out was more like a grease. Any help would be...

    pto in H

    Has anyone ever put a pto in a H before? My H doesn"t have one in it and was think about adding one. I know a guy that put one in his but was curious if anyone else has and how big of a project it would be. Thanks for any help or suggestion. Eric
