    Ford 755 hoe swing post

The swing chain ended up braking in three different spots. Does anyone know how to tell what the part number of the swing post would be? Apparently there’s 2 different numbers. Would that be for the hoe or something else? The hoe and loader were assembled in 1966 or 1967 755 swing post

    Ford head remanufactured places

Good morning I’ve been shopping around for a remanufactured head for a Ford 755a with 9/16 head bolts, I tried Alexander Tractor, but they did not have anything but I remember there were places in Ohio and Pennsylvania, but can’t think of the name that offer remanufactured heads. Mine needs...

    Ford 7500 engine

I ended up dropping the 755a head and rocker shaft off at the machine shop today and we’ll see how that goes. Hopefully the head comes back good. Would the rocker bolts be the same side or 1/2? I didn’t see a part number by the oil filter side of the block. I’m not sure if the number is on the...

    Ford 7500 engine

I end up picking up an engine from a Ford 7500 tlb, does anyone know if the head and rocker shaft will work on a 1987 Ford 755a motor? I forgot about the part number by the oil filter

    Ford 775a back head

Finally took the head off, the blew head gasket blew bare minimum. The last rocker bolt next to the cab was really tight (#3-1 were less but about the same). When the tractor was running, it had heavy blow by. Fast look the block holes looked clear, but I’ll take a better look in the morning...

    Ford 775a back head

Ended up taking the valve cover off on this 755a to do a head gasket, turns out half of the rockers are getting oil and the other half aren’t. I don’t know for how long this happened but half is definitely dry. Could this be from a clogged oil passage or could this be the oil pump? When I put...

    24 volt on a 755a

Anyone know if you could run 24 volt on a 755a system or would that burn the wiring harness out a long with the starter? I’ve always had slow cranking with this in the winter. I’ve had two good batteries on this. Just wondering if these could have been run in 24 volts anyway

    Ford 5000

I ended pulling the tac out, then pulled with key switch wires out and used a volt meter to see what’s what, then use the volt meter on the key switch position and see what tabs do what. Once the tractor run, snake them back under and attach to them to the key switch and then snake the key...

    Pertroix Ignition life expectancy

Just out of curiosity, how long does the electronic ignition last on a tractor before it dies? I put one on our 1950 8n almost 10 years ago and it finally died (tractor probably ran with it for 7 years). Haven’t killed a coil yet. Seems like the most issue before electronic ignition was killing...

    Starter Engage Flywheel

I ran into that problem on a Ford 531, I went from a gas engine to a diesel engine and kept the gas ring gear then tried to use the diesel starter. That didn’t work and I ended up splitting the tractor again and putting on a new diesel ring gear after the gas stater went out. I got 2 years...
