    4010 Block drain cock

    I have a JD 4010 diesel that I want to put a block heater in. Is the drain cock in the block brass or steel and how would you suggest that I remove it. There is not a soft plug in this model.I don't know if it has ever been out. Thanks Gary

    jd 4010 brake valve

    I have a JD 4010 that has a leaking brake valve. It leaks when not in use and the temperature gets up into the 80's and above. I have bleed the brakes to get all of the air out and have replaced the rubber boots like those in a wheel cylinder.The brakes are solid and work fine. Any help!

    hood guard

    Looking for a hood guard for my 4010 that has a 148 JD loader. The guard keeps the front from getting hit. Is there anyone who makes these? any help appreciated. Gary

    148 Loader Guides

    looking for the two guides that go on the mounting frame of a 148 loader. They are the rounded metal pieces that attach to the mounting bracket in the front of the tractor where the side mounts attach. John Deere calles them guides.

    ventilator pump

    The 4010 is a diesel and it is has an M&W turbo. There are two lines coming off the pump, top one goes to the bottom of the intake manifold, the other goes into the front of the pump and is larger.

    ventilator pump

    I have a 4010 and I want to disconnect the ventilator pump. Does anyone know the process? I have heard that one of the gears has to be removed and an internal hole pluged to maintain oil pressure. Any help?

    Oil Filter Gasket

    I have a M&W Turbo on a John Deere 4010. It has the early oil filter canister. I need a gasket for the canister. The canister is 4 3/4 inches tall and 4 1/8 inches wide. The gasket is 4 1/8 inches in diameter. The canister reminds me of the type that you used to see on the old Chevrolet cars...

    German John Deere

    What series of John Deere tractors are or were made in Germany. I understand those in the 2000 series were. Loader mounting kits I understand are different for those over the Waterloo series. Gary

    4010 Tank Heater

    Gerald J. Thanks for the information on the heater. One additional question. Is the pipe plug in the cylinder head the one next to the injector which would take a large allen wrench to remove. Sumpter 2

    Can someone explain how you install or route a tank heater on a 4010 diesel. There is mention of a plug behind the generator that can be used as well as the drain plug. Thanks for any input. Sumpter 2

    Wiring Alternator

    Want to put an alternator in place of a generator on a JD 4010. How is it wired and do you use the voltage regulator that is now tied to the generator. I saw one on a 4010 but could not tell how it was wired in. Tractor is still 24 volt. Thanks Gary
