    wd-45 brake rod

    My left brake rod is snapped off inside the housing. Looking down from the brake inspection hole, it is not visible, is there an easy fix , or does the diff. housing need to be disasembled?

    Is there any special hyd. or gear oil that is recommended for wd -45. Would anyone recommend slick 50 in the engine to add a little extra H.P. or would synthetic work just as good?

    I'll take the top off again and inspect it when I get Allis home, but for now I'll leave her in neutral and winch her on the trailer. --- thanks guys.

    Sounds like a vacum leak at low rpm, and when the gov. engages the vacum leak is overcome.

    My wd 45 trans seems to be locking into gear even when the engine is shut off. I pulled the top off and all 3 forks and gears look fine , but the ball on the shifter will move up and down quite a bit ?

    1938 WC NO SPARK!!

    Check for corrosion in the cap and plug wire ends , I've had aluminun caps and wire ends that corrode real bad as opposed to brass that very seldom need cleaning.

    It's a wd -45 since I run the serial # and it was built in late 55 and he shifter is curvered. It seems to lock in gear and that's why I took off the top. At present I managed to shift the gears into neutral with a long screwdriver and then put the top back on-- it was difficult lining up the...

    Hi Mark, I think that WC would be a good parts tractor if you can find another one that is complete. I just bought my first wd-45 for $1000.00 in a snow bank, and I started it up yesterday on the first cank.She runs perfect and I only see heat not smoke from the muffler.

    wd-45 tight trans.

    My wd-45 is hard to get in and out of gear , so I removed the top and all 3 forks look fine and so do the gears . Do I need to ride the clutch a little or disengage the P.T.O.? . I don't know much about the tractor since I just bought it and don't have a manual.

    I was givena 9 voly battery for Allis that has the same dimensions as a 6 volt, can anyone recommend that I use it without causing damage, and will it charge.

    Hi all I need a rear rim for a wd-45 , mine is rusted out and the tube is visable. I could probably weld a section in it, but Allis deserves a new one. I live in Ont. right at the border of Sault Ste Marie.
