    Fuel gauge positive ground

I talked to my father in law and he said pretty much the same thing as Dave, so I may hook it up and see what happens. Matt

    Fuel gauge positive ground

Hi, my tractor is a negative ground. I bought the positive ground because my other choice was the UK version (which I would have thought would be the postive ground), so I thought maybe the fuel gauges were different. Thanks for the responses. Matt

    Fuel gauge positive ground

Hi, I bought a new fuel gauge because my old one didn't work and is in bad shape. I ordered from the Yesterday's Tractor Co website. They had a choice of a guage for a 135 UK version, or for a 135 with a positive ground. I got the positive ground version, and when I got it it has 3 terminals...

    Dad's health

Hi Scott, I bought a MF 135 several months ago and without your dads help and cd, I couldn"t have fixed a lot of stuff. Tell him I appreciate all the advice and will remember him in our prayers. Matt

    Power steering leak MF135

Hi, I posted a message a few months ago about putting the wrong fluid in my power steering and it started leaking. Big Dean told me the power steering control valve was leaking. I found a kit on ebay for the control valve and bought it. I tore it down today to fix it and the kit I bought had...

    Draining power steering MF 135

I accidentally put the wrong type of fluid in the power steering of my 135. What is the best way to drain it to replace it with the correct fluid? I looked but didn't see a plug at the bottom of the reservoir.

MF 135 leaking at top of steering column

My 135 is leaking fluid from the top of the steering column (under the hood). The screw holds a bracket on and it will not tighten up, I guess it is stripped out. Is there an easy fix for this or will I have to take it apart and drill and retap the hole for a bigger screw? Matt

    MF 135 tach/speedo cable

I have US version MF 135 but I inadvertently bought a tach/speedometer on ebay that is in kph instead of mph. (It wasn't a very clear picture and I wasn't sure what I was looking at). I would like to keep it instead of going through the hassle of returning it (if possible). I have been looking...

Need a new battery for MF 135

Hi, the battery on my MF 135 (diesel) has been weak for a while, and now it has finally given up. The battery that is on it now was an old one the man had laying around when I bought it, and I think it has over 900 cold cranking amps, but it has always sounded weak so I don"t know it was just...

    Fixed toplink hitting draft

I just wanted to post a follow up on my previous post about the toplink hitting the draft control yoke. I knew it didn't look right and I thought I was missing a piece that connected the toplink to the draft. When my father in law was over yesterday, I asked him what he thought about it and he...

MF 135 top link hitting draft

Hi, thanks for the response. I don"t think I explained myself properly. The tractor itself will lift the implements/three point hitch as high as I want, but the thing that limits it is the toplink hitting the yoke when it gets to a certain point. I had to adjust the position control stop down...

MF 135 top link hitting draft

First of all I would like to thank Big Dean, John at Ferguson Tractor, and everybody else that helped me fix the lift on my 135. Now to my new problem. I bought a top link from the co-op (since the tractor didn't have one when I bought it). When I adjust it, to make whatever implement I am...

Massey 135 position control lever problems

I"ve been having trouble with my 135"s position control lever getting out of place. It was missing the spring so I got that ordered and put on, but when I put it back together and try to work the position control it doesn"t work and the lever is out of place again. To better clarify, the lever...

MF 135 hydraulic filter safety wire

I cleaned the hydraulic filter on my '74 MF 135 and there was a piece of wire wrapped around top of cup to keep it from working itself loose, but it wasn't attached to anything. What is it supposed to be wired to?

need help with lift cylinder reassembly

I was taking the lift cover of my massey ferguson 135 to put the cam back into the correct postion so the postion lever will function. I have the I and T manual and I got ready to take the cover off but couldn"t budge it. It took the four nuts off the studs and and seperated the lift cylinder...

MF 135 draft control/3pt hitch position

I saw the diagram that you were referring to in the book. You said that you took the outside control quadrant apart. What exactly is the control quadrant? Is it the plate that bolts to the tractor rear end where the shaft for the draft and position control go through? Thanks again.

MF 135 draft control/3pt hitch position

Dave, actually I have not pulled the wheels off to check the brake pads. I have been very busy the past few weeks. I am looking forward to having some free time to fix some minor things and get some use out of it. I have a Mig welder and do a lot of metal work so I can handle your "fix"...

MF 135 draft control/3pt hitch position

I finally got to pull my root rake with my new to me Massey. The lever on the right is marked draft control, but it moves the position of the three point hitch. The lever to the left of it is marked position, but it doesn"t seem to change the height of the hitch. Could anybody explain how to...

    Massey Ferguson 135

It is me again. I was going hook up my root rake and didn't realize that a top link was not included with the tractor. From what I have seen I will need a category 1 (up to 45 hp), but do I need to know how long to get it, or need more info than that? Thanks
