    its a 48 8n with a front mount distrubutor. As far as I know all parts are OEM. Tractor has ran great for a number of years with no problems.

    My 8n will not start after it gets warmed up good, then if I let it sit for a hour or so it will start fine. I suspect a weak coil. I used her pretty hard yesterday and got her pretty hot and now she wont start at all, checked points and replaced, still no spark, getting fuel I think the coil...

    8n Shifter

    I am restoring a 8n shifter. I was taking the knob off and it twisted off. Should I just cut some more threads on the shifter shaft or weld a piece of threaded rod on the broken end? It never fails, if Im gonna do something it cannot be easy, life goes on........

    Where does the felt washer go in the spindle? I cant find it in the IT manual. I am replacing the bearings and bushings.

    No its a Massey Ferguson 204,I have the bolt and key out. It has moved some just really tight.

    I have a spindle that is stuck, its on a tractor that has a straight axle so removal is not an option. I have moved it some and now its soaking in penetrating oil. Any suggestions, I was thinking of maybe a bottle jack upside down maybe chained down or something like that, any suggestions...

    I am working on a 204 Industrial I have a spindle on the left wheel that is frozen. I have moved it some and it's soaking in penetrating oil. I am going to have to improvise some type of press to push it out, anybody got any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a chain and a small bottle jack.

    I have a 204 workbull that has power steering that I cannot get the steering wheel to turn the wheels. I have unhooked the steering cyclinders and it still will not move. How hard was it to tear into the steering box. I hate to guess im gonna have to.

    I just bought a 204 that has been sitting for about 3 years. Runs fine all fluids clean and full except power steering. I cannot turn wheels with steering wheel at all, I removed a presure hose on the pump and nothing came out. It has a filler plug on the filter cover that I have to drill out...

    204 Industrial

    I just got a 204 industrial that I will be tinkering with, whats the difference between it and a 35 Massey. Do these tractors have live power? It's been setting for about three years , no water in tranny or oil, gas tank dry and clean as well as radiator, any suggestions? Than ks

    I have rebuilt the pumps and lift covers in 8n"s before, are the pump and lift cover much different in the 204? Mine also has the reversmatic they troublesome to repair? Thanks in advanxce for any info.

    Smokes under load

    I used noticed my 8N was smoking a litte when under a load from the breather cap, is this something to be overly concerned about or normal for a older tractor. The tractor holds about 10 to 15 lbs of oil pressure when hot, other wise runs like a charm with plenty of power. I have been running...
