4010 no hydrallics

Purchased a 4010 diesel recently, winter project. Tractor starts easy, but has a slight miss, with blue smoke, but after it runs for a while, levels out and runs smooth. tractor hasnt been run for a while. Most concerning, there are no hydraulics, not in three point, brakes spongy if any resistance at all. Immediately upon starting tractor, it steers all the way to the left, and stays there. Cant even turn the steering wheel. Checked all filters, and sump screen, clean. Has a new hydro pump installed by previous owner. Only way to wheels back straight, is to loosen hydro line up front, going to steering motor, lets off pressure enough to push the wheels back straight. I am thinking steering valve under gauge console, has a stuck valve or piston? Anybody heard of this?? Thanks. Jim

Yes, that is where the problem is with the steering,, but it sounds like you have other problems along with it,, like possibly a bad transmission pump. I can take care of the steer valve here and bench test it if you want... [email protected]

Where are you located? And do you know of a schematic, on ho this comes apart to even check it???? Thanks. Jim
