Just bought a John Deere 7000 4-Row 30" Planter. Plan to pull it with a narrow front tractor. Planter Operators Manual says to set the marker extension 13" beyond the end of the main marker arm to the disk marker. Then it says the mark will be for the outside front wheel on a wide front tractor with front wheels set at 60". Since I am using a narrow front tractor, I need to shorten the marker by 30" so the mark will be in the center of the tractor, instead of for the outside front tire. Only problem is, 13" is all I can reduce marker length, then I am down to the outer end of the main marker arm, which is not adjustable. How can I get this done? The setting prescribed by the manual gives a mark that is 105" from the last row planted. I need a mark that is 75" from the last planted row. Any help will be appreciated!
