Need information about my Fordson Tractor.

Hi my finacee bought a fordson tractor the other day but he has no idea what year this thing is or anything? He wrote me down these numbers that was on the tractor. DDNFF2 was on the motor head, Behind the Motor was T1 H28C, and there was a F on the motor/transmission block on main frame and E1ADKN 994787 T1 J8C behind the seat. He needs to find a book for it after he finds out what year it is etc.. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.. Lee

Sounds like a spark ignition Fordson Major from Mid-fifties. Wouldn't mind one myself.

E1A means that its a Fordson Major. H28C is a casting code that means June 28, 1959 and J8C is July 8, 1959. Its probably a 1959 Power Major, but you should find the serial number and go to Fordson Tractor Pages like benny2 suggested. You can find manuals here at Yesterdays Tractors or on eBay.
