I find these posts most entertaining! That Massey 65 was a great deal, any farm can make use of them. The JD round baler would sell for 2x that price here. Do you know if the 3300 was gas or diesel?

cvphoto83181.jpg

The 494A JD corn planter sold for $200...Dad bought a new 494A in 1964 and it was the first decent corn planter that he ever owned...It made us lots of money.
cvphoto83182.jpg

I bought the closest two 20.8x38 Firestone tires for $310 each...The other one sold for $170...These tires will either go on my 1466 IH Hot Stock puller or my 1456 IH thats sitting with no rear tires....I ended up buying another 20.8x38 with a tube for $110...That meant that I could not haul them all on my Ford Ranger so had to go home and get the pickup and gooseneck trailer....On the way home with the Ranger I stopped at a friends place south of Eve,MO and bought two 75 lb IH weights for my 1466 IH puller.

The two closet like new 12.4x38 tires sold for $280 each...The like new 13.6x38 rear tires behind them sold for $380 each..A nice pair of 16.9x34's with rims sold for $350 each...A new 14.9x24 sold for $100.

Heres some other prices...
JD 466 baler $2,500
NH 688 baler sold for $2,800
750 JD diesel tractor with mower sold for $4,300
JD #68 auger wagon sold for $425...I gave the guy a bolt to pull it home with as his hitch pin was too big.
JD 567 baler $5,200
NH hay 258 rake $1,300
JD disc mower $4,900
Two JD 5x16 plows $150 each.

I will be back later today with the results for the El Dorado Springs,MO consignment sale held yesterday..

The 3300 was a gas burner...I saw a 3300 diesel sell last fall for around $2,000....The 65 Massey was a great buy...I'm surprised that the seller let it go.

I echo 544's comments and think that the word about beans in the teens and $5 corn has not arrived yet in certain parts of our great nation. I understand this is a consignment sale and many times there is a reason for guys parking their problems in the auctioneers lot, BUT, Simply judging from pictures, almost anything decent would have brought at least 10-20% more in my area.

Wow...the buyer of the 1486 and 986 did well.Could damn near double your money on em around here.

Was the 3020 a powershift or synchro ? Did the 1066 that didnt have a 3 point just not have the arms or cane from the factory with no three point

I'm sure the 3020 was a synchro range..The 1066 IH had no lift arms and came from the factory with no 3 point...It was probably a western Kansas tractor.

Thanks . If I zoom in I can see the top of the pto lever beside the steering wheel so it has to be a snychro unless someone put a custom lever on a powershift

I'm in an area of huge grain farms of from 2,000 acres up to 7,000-10,000 acres...Theres not lots of small farmers left so the older-smaller stuff just doesnt sell like it would in other areas of the country...2020 wasnt the best year in my area as we had a drought that cut some yields in half or more..

Go 20 miles east and theres lots of large cattle operations...I'm in a area where the Ozarks meet the Plains.

And I thought I got a good deal. Went to a consignment sale yesterday and bought a IH field cultivator it is 16 feet wide and I paid 300 for it.
