truely the ultimate plow tractor for 1922 ?,, the yr. my mom was born .my great uncles said thne motor was very dependable .and ready to go in a instant ,, they were used to having to build a fire and a FULL head of steam in those days ..the pointer on the steering always makes me smile... sometimes i wisht i had one on the DC when out in the muddy cowlot ..LOL .../technology was movin in leaps and bounds , the case l and cc were about to come out in less than 10 yrs ...the jd model D was the longest yr build of any ever built ,..probably the most notable change for deer is when the 2 cylindar motors were retired and deer decided the rest of the tractor world was RIGHT ,. still like hearin the ol johnny poppers ..especially when they are backin up a wagon or somethin at hi idle,, seems like the governor is very touchy ,, makin the ol deers quite a preacher

Just an observation, the front axle should have been tilting the other direction, un less it had spindles with diff. hidth from king pin yoke, or a bigger RH wheel.

Yes back in the early 1900's most all tractors were built for plowing. That's what made the Farmall so popular because it was so versatile for the implements.

First number is the amount of horsepower at the drawbar.
Second number is the horsepower rating at the belt pulley.
Modern tractors are rated at the pto.
