thanks everyone for your replies last week about the 3 and 4 bolt question. finally picked up the front end this weekend. won't be jumping right in- person who sold it to me failed to mention that they cut the mounting bolts off flush with a cutoff grinder. should make life interesting-dave

Weld a large nut over each cut off bolt. Melt some candle wax onto the bolt as it cools. Heat of welding and wax flowing into the threads will help to loosen things.

I had 6 broke off on one of mine. I welded a stud on the end of the broken bolt with a wire feed. The heat of welding loosened the rust and I got all of them out with the welded studs.
